Ronald B. Krisko

 |
Award presented by Columbia Historical Society and Columbia Chamber of Commerce.
Raised near by, but only moving to Columbia Township six years ago,. this years Citizen of the Year has
jumped in with vim & vigor to be a part of the community.
He is a small business owner. He was a member of the Columbia Chamber of Commerce in the past serving
as its Vice President.
When the Chamber received money from an estate through the Columbia Kiwanis Club, the Chamber formed
the non-profit Columbia Community Foundation organization. He has been the President since its inception.
This original money is set aside for scholarships for Columbia students. To date, eight scholarships have been awarded.
Other money raised by the Foundation has been used for the betterment of Columbia Township.
This has required much time, effort, leadership, and dedication.
He co-founded and is Treasurer of the Aikey Foundation, which gives a four-year full-tution scholarship
to an area high school senior attending Kent State University in early or middle childhood education.
His company, RBK Publishing, hosts a website votecolumbiastation.com providing, for free, an opportunity for
candidates to post a statement regarding their candidacy and to list and describe the issues.
He also actively participates in Columbia Historical Society, InfraGard, and
Southwest Community Health Foundation meetings.
He attends Columbia Township Trustee meetings to be informed and to understand the issues confronting the township.
Congratulations, Columbias 2010 Citizen of the Year, Ronald B. Krisko!
